DCBA MEMBERSHIP

Any duly licensed lawyer in good standing residing or with an office in Douglas County, Kansas can be a member of the Douglas County Bar Association (DCBA) by signing up and paying dues. Annual dues are $45.00 payable in January each year. Dues are not prorated for a partial year. When joining, be sure to provide an email address, as official notices about meetings and other activities are sent by email.

You can use the online membership form to join the DCBA, renew your membership, or update your listing information. After submitting the form online, print and mail it with your dues payment to: Douglas County Bar Association, P.O. Box 1966, Lawrence, KS 66044.

Membership allows attorneys to attend DCBA sponsored CLE programs free of charge, including the monthly "Brown Bag" noon programs presented by local bar members and guest speakers such as Stan Hazlett, Disciplinary Administrator. Members also enjoy DCBA social events such as the monthly social which includes free au doevres and wine, and special gatherings such as the annual Holiday Party. A monthly newsletter keeps members abreast of events and happenings concerning the local bar.

Membership in the DCBA opens the door to participation in committees and groups such as the Criminal Defense Group, Women Attorneys Group, Young Lawyers Group, and others.
